I’m Lisa — founder of Mi-Tape and passionate advocate for modern hair extension education.

For over 20 years, hair extensions have been more than my service — they’ve been my passion. I’ve lived, breathed, and worn extensions myself, and nothing fulfils me more than seeing clients leave the salon with a personalised service designed specifically for them.

But throughout my career, I saw a gap in the industry. Quality education and practical training in hair extensions were limited, leaving many hairdressers lacking confidence — or avoiding extensions altogether.

That’s why I created Mi-Tape Learning: a user-friendly, professional online education platform designed to help hairdressers thrive, build confidence, and deliver exceptional results for their businesses and clients.

  • No, hair extensions must be removed prior to any chemical straightening or perms.

  • One year with the right hair supplier, products and care.

  • No. Every 2-3 days is recommended to reduce oil buildup on the seals. 

  • Yes, Mi-Tape is great for fine hair to add length, volume and colour without visible seals.

  • No. Mi-Tape is a customised service so there is no set price for everyone. Once your salon prices are established for Mi-Tape Length, Volume Builder and Volume Design services, you can offer an estimate quote over the phone. Full quotes are given when a personalised consultation has been conducted in-salon.

  • Yes, with care. Excluding scalp bleache applications or a full head-of-foils colour application.

  • 5-6 weeks for naturally fine hair and 6-7 weeks for coarse hair.
